BEIRUT EXPLOSION EMERGENCY RELIEF

A gigantic explosion occurred early evening on Tuesday, August 4 in Beirut, Lebanon. The blast devastated entire sections of the city, including the main port for the country and was felt as far as away as 150 miles.  At least 5,000 people were injured, completely overwhelming the hospitals that were already dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mercy-USA for Aid and Development quickly mobilized our Lebanon team of medical professionals from our normal area of operations just three hours away from Beirut. We are working in the affected areas and offering medical care to injured people who haven’t been able to access the hospitals or primary care clinics.

In addition to our two mobile medical clinics we are distributing cold drinking water in the crushing heat plus masks in an effort to stop the spread of the ever-menacing corona virus.

We need your support to bring in more relief as our medical teams have time to assess the situation! Please donate now, the need is urgent!
