We have responded to devastating fires, floods and mudslides in the camps by providing immediate food aid and relief kits to survivors. Responding When Families Needed Help Most
In July 2026, heavy monsoon rains caused severe flooding across the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar, damaging shelters, disrupting access to food, and leaving vulnerable families without basic necessities.
Families who had already been displaced by violence and persecution were once again facing the loss of their homes, belongings, and access to food.
Mercy-USA Delivered Emergency Relief
In response to the flooding, Mercy-USA provided emergency food and hygiene kits to families affected by the disaster.
These essential supplies helped 3,750 people meet their immediate food and hygiene needs during a time when flooding had disrupted normal access to food and destroyed household resources.
Through this emergency response, Mercy-USA helped bring immediate, practical relief to Rohingya families facing yet another devastating crisis.
