In the north-western province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan has been devastated by flash flooding with at least 800 dead and more missing during August and September, 2025.
Mercy-USA provided emergency relief in Bruner where a cloudburst caused nearly 6 inches of rain to fall in one hour. After two days of heavy monsoon rains, the cloudburst caused, water, rocks and trees to sweep down the mountain burying homes and businesses in Bruner.
Our emergency relief kits contained urgently needed items such as mosquito nets, tarps, blankets, hygiene kits, lamp, floor mats and containers for water and food storage/preparation.
